PM&R physicians, known as physiatrists, have expertise in the musculoskeletal, neurological, and medical aspects of rehabilitation. They work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Prosthetics and orthosis physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, rehabilitation nurses, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care.
