The Department of Community & Family Medicine (CFM) is committed to excellence in education, patient care, and research. The department provides comprehensive training to MBBS, MD/MS, BPH+MPH students, and PhD scholars, fostering community-oriented healthcare and research. Our patient-care services include the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC), Kalyanpur, catering to 30+ patients daily, and the Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), CHC Devipur, serving 25+ patients every day. The department also runs the first Adult Immunisation Clinic in Eastern India, providing daily services. With numerous intramural and extramural research projects exceeding ₹12 crore, the department was honoured with the Best Research Award in 2026.
