Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), also known as Rehabilitation medicine or Physiatry, aims to improve and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
