The Department of Community and Family Medicine is a clinical science department within AIIMS Deoghar . Community Medicine bridges the gap between traditional fields of public and clinical medicine and brings community perspective into health. It aims to provide comprehensive health services ranging from preventive, promotive  , curative to rehabilitative health services. The community medicine facilitates students learning and practice of clinical skills at community and primary care settings.

Future Plans

The Department of Community and Family Medicine at AIIMS Deoghar is presently in its nascent stage. The department will be coming up soon with an Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) and a Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) to address the health needs of the people of Deoghar district.
