Introduction
AIIMS Deoghar is an institute of National Importance established with the aim to provide High Quality Evidence based treatment and care. Though the department of Pediatrics is in Infancy stage but will soon emerge as a Pediatrics centre of excellence due to full dedication of our eminent qualified Faculties, residents and students who are constantly working hard on it. The department is very enthusiastic in conducting various academic sessions and indulging in various Scientific Researches. The Pediatric department is regularly involved in conducting Health related Awareness program and celebration of days/week. The positive attitude and sincerity in conducting regular teaching classes, tutorials, Demonstration class and Clinical Posting of students, we hope to emerge as Centre of Excellence in Pediatrics in near future. The department is fully committed to raise the standard of medical education of undergraduates and future Post graduates by the latest medical teaching technique, so that the skills and knowledge can go in a scientific direction and their proper application for good care of the patient and community. The department also emphasize on development of good personality with good medical ethics among residents and students. Scientific researches and High quality Evidence based treatment is the main priority of our department. The state of Art Centre will soon emerge as education and training Centre with all Subspecialty in near future.
Future plans
Pediatric
department at present is providing OPD services along with immunization
facility. We are currently providing telemedicine services for peripheral
health institutions of Jharkhand state through e-sanjeevani portal.
